Golf babes mourn the loss of the web’s most eligible golf web geek

For those of you who didn’t know, I have a big announcement to make regarding my world away from the golf web.

Golf babes around the globe are in mourning with the news that the world’s most eligible golf web geek will no longer be eligible as of May 22, 2010.  Yes I’m getting married to a fine lady who I’ve been seeing now for about 4.5 years.  Though not a golfer, she was a world class athlete for many years and understands the passion and need for playing a sport you love.

The official invitational wedding golf tournament is Friday (sponsored by Bridgestone Golf) and the wedding itself Saturday.  Needless to say the chaos level is high with all the loose ends, family in town, parties and all the stuff which encompasses such an event.

Following the wedding we’d planed to go to Greece for a honeymoon but that changed, and that is probably a good thing with what is going on there now.  There was also thought of possibly going to India.  Those plans are on hold for a month or two, so we’re taking a mini-honeymoon in Vegas for a few days.  I’ll still check in on the golf web world to make sure things are running, but everyone hold the fort down for me.  I’ll be busy.

Golfers are funny.  The other day a golf pal comes up to me:

Golf pal: “Hey Tony, congratulations.”

Me: “Thanks. I’m excited for the wedding.”

Golf pal: “No. Congratulations on going to the Masters.  Oh and congratulations on the wedding too…”

Custom Golf Glove Designs

I have a nice glove I’ve been using for a few rounds.  It is a full cabretta leather monogrammed glove from Custom Golf Glove Designs. The glove is very comfortable and good looking.  I have a good grip and feel, especially considering I usually play without a glove.

Custom Golf Glove Designs can do custom designs or monograms on any of their six glove styles, such as the “K” I have on my glove pictured.

The CGGD gloves have may sizes available to fit any hand:

Ladies Small, Ladies Medium, Mens Small Cadet, Mens Medium, Mens Medium Large, Mens Medium Large Cadet, Mens Large Cadet, Mens Large, Mens Extra Large

Embroidery colors available:

Black, Navy, Hunter Green, Red, Orange, Hot Pink, Light Pink

Critiques

I have no critiques about the gloves themselves.

My critique is with the CGGD web site, which doesn’t do their products justice. Their photos are all very dark, fuzzy and dreary looking.  They should really get some better images so their products pop better.  The image which shows their embroidery colors is so dark and undefined that you can’t discern between the brown, black and navy embroidery color examples.

Also with the site, I can’t find where to specify the custom embroidery part of the order on the shopping cart.  Where does one select the customized part of the glove, the letter colors, print style or the custom text?

Conclusion

Custom Golf Glove Designs makes fine golf gloves which are comfortable, high performance and good looking.  The added bonus of the customization, along with a very reasonable $13.99 price tag, makes CGGD’s gloves a great option.
