In the golf world most players have a “go-to” club.  It’s the one club they are the most confident in, hit the best, or depend on when they need to be sure to hit the fairway.  My cigar equivalent, or go-to cigar brand, would have to be Arturo Fuente. “Fuentes” have been as solid and dependable as the best club in my bag.

Today’s review is of the great tasting and satisfying Arturo Fuente Cuban Corona courtesy of Famous Smoke Shop.  The corona in the name is the shape.  In laymen’s terms it is a medium sized cigar.  The core of the cigar is Dominican in origin.

Specs

Strength: Medium
Shape: Corona
Size: 5 1/4 x 45
Country: Dominican Republic
Wrapper Color: Natural
Wrapper Origin: African
Wrapper Leaf: Cameroon

On The Course

On the course or in the back yard, this is a very tasty and enjoyable cigar. The medium strength is enough for me to get a nice vibe but not so strong that I’m shaking over my birdie putt on the 6th hole. The size is just right too, lasting just the right amount of time.

Conclusion

Not too strong. Not too big. Tasty and enjoyable. The wife and I celebrated our anniversary with this Fuente, and a bottle of bubbly.

If your father or a father you know is a cigar smoker, consider the Fuente Cuban Corona as a very well thought out Father’s Day gift.
