Rory McIlory

Following the win this past week at the Honda Classic, after holding off Tiger Woods’s record Sunday charge of 62, Rory McIlroy became the #1 ranked golfer on this planet.  Luke Donald is now “former #1.”

The #1 ranking has been going around like a hot potato since Tiger Woods lost it.  How long do you think McIlroy will hold onto this ranking?  Comment below.

I’m pretty impressed with Rory’s attitude and composure and according to Jack Nicklaus and Johnny Miller he has a great swing. WIth that said, I think he will hold on to the number one position for quite some time. I was really wowed by Tiger’s final round yesterday. I’m really looking forward to many duels between these two this year….it could be classic!

  2. Denny says:

As consistently as Rory McIlroy has played over the past couple years, it may be difficult for someone to catch him for the number one world ranking. If he stays focused and avoids injury he can stay on top for quite some time. Any hot shot rookies coming along.
