FedEx Cup LogoYesterday I posted a table of players who made it into the next round (3) of the FedEx Cup playoffs. Today we are looking at the rest of the top 150–the 80 players who did NOT make it into the BMW Championship or round three of the playoffs. There are some surprisingly big names in this list, Tiger Woods of course being the biggest. Poor Kevin Na missed it by literally a hair, 10 points.  Other big names which surprise me are Retief Goosen, Stuart Appleby, Ian Poulter, Padraig Harrington, Anthony Kim and Graeme McDowell.

One response to “FedEx Cup points update – Who is OUT after two rounds?”

  1. Pearce Bley says:

Another few names that stand out to me:

-Graeme McDowell, The 2010 U.S. Champion at Pebble Beach is one of the best players to come out of Northern Ireland in a long time and obviously the first of three Irishmen in two years to win a major

-Davis Love III, Captain of the 2012 Ryder Cup Team. Davis has been a true ambassador of the game for many years. Has age finally caught up with him? I hope not, I love watching Davis play fantastic golf week in and week out.

-Ricky Barnes, a talented young man who has been on the leaderboard on Sunday more times than I can remember. He’ll win the FedEx Cup within the next five years but he just needs to get every aspect of his game firing at all cylinders.

-Anthony Kim, played fantastic golf for the last Ryder Cup team and is a phenom on the course. Surprised to see he hasn’t advanced to Chicago this week but he will definitely be back in full force next year.
