I’ve known Luke Swilor for many years now.  We’ve had some epic matches, most of which he has come out on top.  But I hang my hat on the one where I had a great day and he had a bad day and I kicked his butt.

Anyway, a hearty congratulations to Luke and wife on the birth of their new son Zac.

Zac will be taking my money on the golf course soon.

New HOG Logos!

I finally got around to having a real designer make up a new logo for HOG.  Yes, it took five years but I finally have one.  Introducing my new skull friend, “HOG.”  I have two versions.  In version one HOG’s skull is a golf ball.  In version two, HOG has a golf flag sticking out of his skull.  I can’t help but laugh at that one.

Of course, a site redesign to accommodate HOG and the new color scheme is warranted.  Not sure when I’ll get around to it, but sometime in the next five years…

The Bridgestone Invitational is over for Tiger Woods, and the leaders still don’t tee off for another couple of hours.  Today Tiger scored a 77 to cap off the worst four days of scoring in his professional career, 18 over par.

Tiger said he wasn’t surprised by his performance this week.  When asked why he wasn’t surprised about his performance by the press, his answer was, “it’s been a long year.”

In a few hours we’ll get to see if Phil Mickelson can climb up the leaderboard from 10th position to a top four, which would put in in the #1 world ranking.

It will be an interesting rest of the day and I’ll be sitting here watching it all because my back is out and I can’t play right now.
