Sounds like the new changes to the pro v1 far out weigh any disadvantages, except for the price ofcourse. I am going to save my nickeles and dimes until I can pick up a dozen.

Banker I can't possibly cover it all though you pose great questions. Anyone is welcome to chime in here to answer your questions as long as they're not spamming the blog.

Somebody can afford to miss hit these babies because I find them in the bushes all the time!

When I do product reviews of this sort I often don't mention other brands or their competition. This isn't a strict rule necessarily but I do it quite often.

Nice article, This Ball is the Best, played by the best. Where are retails the lowest for this product? Is there a ball by another Brand that compares? What about recycled Pro V product? Who can afford to miss hit a ball that is $4 a ball?

I love this golf ball, but at the current street price of around $45 a dozen, they're just too expensive except when I am playing in official tournaments.

I realize that Titleist is positioning the V1 and V1X as their premium and flagship product, but the truth is that the ball is no longer as unique as it was when the first editions of them came out. There are a plethora of choices of soft-cover high coefficient of rebound inner core balls now, and in my opinion, the average player would have a very difficult time telling the difference if they weren't seeing the brand name staring back at them. That's not enough for someone like me that's a four round per week or more player.

Finally, it will be very interesting to see what the next year brings relative to the Pro V1 series from Titleist. With the new groove rules, it would not surprise me at all to see an even softer cover edition.
