Some extreme golf courses and holes
I found a very cool article on some extreme golf. In this article, there are some wild stories:
• The world’s longest golf course in Australia, measuring at 1,492,782 yards
• The world’s longest par three, with a $1 million prize for an ace
• 100% sand golf courses in Dubai
• Ice golf courses in Greenland
• Golf volcanoes, crocodiles and more
I was wondering about the guy who found all these cool courses. It is a cat named Ross Marshall. Ross is the managing director for a place called Your Golf Travel at www.yourgolftravel.com. On his site you can apparently book trips to those extreme places, along with other more regular courses like the TPC Sawgrass.
They even advertise having a “golf break” which costs £9.99 or about $14.86 American, including lodging! Now that is a price point for today’s economic climate if I’ve ever seen one….
