7445 – 10 = 7435

I played Edgewood Tahoe a few weeks ago and was entertained to see that the yardage from the tips was the magical 7445. Why magical? 7445 is the yardage of Augusta National and The Masters Tournament.
It was announced today that minor yardage changes at Augusta have shaved off 10 yards from the scorecard, mainly from the first tee. This is in an effort to bring back some “Sunday charges” to the final round of The Masters. Ok sure. I doubt 10 yards is going to do that.
