FootJoy MyJoys Review

Back in this post I discussed the FootJoy MyJoys concept. MyJoys can be custom designed with the base shoe being one of many of the FootJoy line. I built a set of my own MyJoys with my Utah Utes logo and have been evaluating them since then.

My Utah Utes football team are 6-0 and ranked in the top 15 right now by the way.

Build Your MyJoys

I had a lot of fun, messing around with the MyJoys online shoe builder.  I made some funny, crazy, ugly and just plain horrid looking shoes.  I even tried to build shoes that Ian Poulter would like.

Adjustments can be made in the base color, trim colors, lace colors etc.  Custom logos, like your favorite sports teams or perhaps your initials can also be put on the shoes as seen in picture one here.

I just suggest trying out the MyJoy shoe customizer if you have some time to kill.   It can be a ton of fun just seeing how crazy, ugly or cool looking you can make a pair of golf shoes.

I had some initial discussions with my friends at FootJoy about creating a MyJoy contest where the best or craziest creation’s creator would win his or her shoes for free but that may have fallen through the cracks.

Shoes Available

Men’s shoes include the DryJoys PRO, DryJoys Tech, Contour, DryJoys Spikeless and DryJoys PODS. The available women’s shoes are the DryJoys Women’s, Spikeless DryJoys Women’s and the Women’s Contours.

My MyJoys

I went with the DryJoys Tech as my shoe of choice for my MyJoys.  I’ve been extremely happy with the comfort of these shoes, even right out of the box.  I’ve played several dozen rounds with them now and they’re still looking and performing like new.

Performance

I’ve never slipped in these shoes.  I have SO much traction with these shoes due to the great spikes and Footjoy’s great sole with seven “Stability Pods.”  The Stability Pods are the sections where the soft spikes are mounted.  The sole is extremely flexible but still grips the ground amazingly.

Just looking at this picture above gives you an idea how much traction I have.  In fact I had a hard time adjusting my swing because I’d apparently gotten used to a different pair of shoes slipping during my swing.  My first batch of swings all went left because I wasn’t used to having that much stability and that solid of a base.

Conclusion

Not only can you have a lot of fun designing and showing off your own custom FootJoy Myjoys, your game will greatly benefit from the great comfort and performance they deliver.
