Tiger Woods 2008 Masters #133pmET: Tiger (image right: Tiger tees off on #13) has made par on the first 10 holes. He never usually lights it up in the first round of The Masters anyway so he’s right where he wants to be.

Phil Mickelson birdied the first hole.

Zach Johnson almost flew his tee shot in the hole on the par-3 12th. He had about a 3-4 inch birdie putt.

I think I’ll continue blogging in this post now because I’m making too many small blogs…

3:15: Zach Johnson leads by two shots at -4 with another birdie at 13. Tiger pars 12 for his 12th par in a row. Phil birdies #2 and starts out this Masters birdie-birdie.

3:35: Tiger chunked a pitch shot from the back of #13 green which rolled back off the green. He then putted pretty far past the hole and is going to have a long 12 foot putt to save par. NO. Tiger BOGEYS the par-5 13th. 12 pars and one bogey for Tiger.

4:00: Tiger bogeyed #14 for his 2nd bogey in a row. Justin Rose birdied #13 and his name is solo atop the leaderboard.

4:11: Tiger EAGLES #15 by chipping in from the back fringe. Wow! Interesting stat that Tiger has gone the longest stretch of his career without a birdie.

5:02: Tiger is walking up 18, still no birdies. He’s got a tough putt for birdie after blocking his approach. Nope. He’s even par, no birdies. Justin Rose still has the lead at -4 and amazingly Sandy Lyle is at -3 with three holes to go.

5:17: Justin Rose gets up and down from the greenside bunker on 18 to pin a 68 on the board.

Bernhard Langer looks like an Indy 500 car. He’s got about 50 logos on his shirt.

6:00: There two international leaders who have posted 68’s now. Trevor Immelman and Justin Rose. Brandt Snedeker is at -4 but hasn’t finished yet.

6:21: Phil Mickelson gets a huge break when going for the green on the par-5 13th. His ball should have gone in Rae’s Creek but it didn’t. Instead of hitting his 4th shot, he’s hitting his 3rd.

7:07: The coverage was supposed to end but due to the fog delay they’re keeping the broadcast going as long as there is daylight.

Wouldn’t that be something if Zach beat Tiger again in the Masters!? So much for the Slam in 08.
