Comments on: NBC’s Jimmy Roberts butchers post round interview with Sean O’Hair

I didn’t notice that much of a Tiger Fest with NBC this weekend. Naturally they tried to plug the Arnold Palmer tournament to get the ratings up but I think Johnny Miller tries to do a good job of not sucking up too much. He criticized O’Hair’s slow play but also said he’s a star in the making.

I did catch the Roberts goof and thought “oh, poor Sean – to have to deal with incompetent reporters.” It would be bad enough to bring up his dad anyway, but Roberts mistook the father-in-law for the dad and that’s got to be a bit of a painful thing.

One thing about it, this year’s Olympics coverage should be good for a few laughs if Roberts is as prepared for that as he was for this weekend’s golf coverage.

Unbelievable. Roberts is an idiot. NBC has the worst golf coverage of all the networks. How many minutes into the telecast did it take Miller to mention Tiger? Now all the networks kiss Tiger’s ass, but none as bad as NBC.
