And I think that might be a fair statement to make. Of course, I've been watching tennis and those players make statements like that all the time, so I don't think Ian's comments are that big of a deal. And finally, we need people in the media to voice opinions like this because it will inspire other golfers to challenge Tiger in tournaments. They can look at Ian and say "If he thinks he can beat Tiger, then I can too." Inspiration needs to come from somewhere because it sure isn't coming from the announcers, commentators and writers - they will suck up to Tiger until his grandkids are 90.
