A little Tiger Woods talk

Some Tiger Woods nuggets:

Most of you already know that Tiger is returning for his first tournament at the U.S. Open since Earl Woods passed away. Tiger has practiced at Winged Foot and says about the course, “it will be quite a test.” His coach Hank Haney says that Tiger is rusty but shaking off the rust fairly quickly.

I wonder if Tiger can really condend. Not playing “competitive” golf and having to focus the way he would in tournaments could hurt, along with plain old rust. Plus this isn’t the Bob Hope we’re talking about either. He’ll need the most focus and control of his game under the conditions of a U.S. Open.

Tiger’s Putter

Another nugget involves Tiger’s putter. Tiger has been unhappy with his putting and has now sent in his Scotty Cameron in to Scotty himself for a tune up. I’d like to know what was off and what tweaks were made. We’ll see if that helps.

The question is can Scotty tune up his driver too? Tiger will need to hit some fairways at the U.S. Open and fairways hit are one of his worst stats.
