My pal the Golf Grouch has a nice piece called The Boredom of the Bridges. It seems he too found what I called The Battle of the Boredom made for TV golf event not ready for prime time.
It seems great minds think alike.

Golf blog and site hosting.
Golf’s a hard game to figure. One day you’ll go out and slice it and shank it, hit into all the traps and miss every green. The next day you go out and for no reason at all you really stink.

really though, I think I’d rather watch these guys play poker… Actually, that’s a cool idea… Celebrity Golfer Poker… they’re playing one of these texas hold’em shows on cable here all the time with hollywood stars.
Tiger, Pat Perez, Vijay, Phil, Daly, Darren Clarke & Ian Poulter… all playing poker, shootin the shit and blowing smoke.., ya, that would be cool and would probably draw in a lot more viewers.

Poker with their own money. Daly would win. He’d have the most balls to gamble. Phil might be right there because he too is a gambler.
